We are regularly receiving enquiries asking where investors,
or potential investors can get more information on investing in buy
to let in the UK, or asking for more detail on yields and leverage,
or the best type of property to buy.
Well after reviewing some of the options out there, we felt there were none
that covered all that we would want investors and potential investors to learn.
The key for us is spend some time in a meeting room environment, going through
the theory and the numbers - but as importantly, go out and see some properties
- after all this is when the money is made! Being able to spot a good
opportunity, a good location, negotiate and close a deal is what it is all
about - and this can only be learnt by physically seeing properties.
Over the last month myself and a good friend Alan Forsyth of Property
Investment Deals - have been brainstorming, putting together the key points we
think investors new and old need to succeed in buy to let investing.
We have finally come up with a Saturday workshop, that we feel offers the best
value for money out there, and covers all the key points that we would expect.
So why this workshop?
Taught by full time investors who themselves own an average of more
than 50 buy to let properties in the UK - and are still buying as many,
if not more than ever ie learn from those that have done it and are
still doing it!
-
Be able to work out what makes a good buy to let opportunity, and what does not
- work through actual examples
-
How to work out yield, and why net yield is so important
-

problems/opportunities with different properties

FAQs
I have heard about other courses where there are over 30 people and you get
very little individual time to discuss your own situation?
This is completely different - this is a workshop where you can ask
questions, and we will go through specific examples as well as be out
seeing properties. And most importantly there will be a maximum of 12
people on each workshop.
I have heard of other courses, where you are then pressurised to buy
expensive properties, will this be the same?
No! This does allow those interested in investing in the NE to see properties,
but most importantly gives you the skills to find suitable properties in your
home area. The properties you will see are not expensive, and demand for the
properties we source always outweighs supply - which is why fewer have been out
on the newsletter in recent weeks.
I have been told the cost of courses would be better spent on a deposit for
a property.
Well I would often agree - paying thousands for a course can often not be the
best use of your money - although as with anything it will depend what you get
out of it. The cost of this workshop is only £297 + VAT per person. And
remember there will only be a maximum of 12 investors on each one. We feel
this is fantastic value to learn some of the secrets of being a successful
investor, and spend time with full time investors finding out what works so
well for them. With the numbers of emails we get with many people asking for
further advice, on rental yields, leverage, cashflow - and keen to physically
be shown around properties it was clear there is strong demand. I think as with
anything learning the theory is fine, and is almost the easier part - the
harder part is getting out there and finding the right properties for you.
